From pristine beaches to world-class attractions, Okinawa is filled with activities to do and sights to see. Fun for the whole family, there isn’t a reason NOT to visit Okinawa. For those needing extra encouragement, here are a few reasons why you SHOULD visit Okinawa (as soon as possible).IMG_0464

1. Gorgeous landscape.

If you’ve ever dreamed of visiting Hawaii or  been there and loved it, then Okinawa is the place for you. Crystal clear waters, smooth sand and island communities are all part of the visual landscape of Okinawa. Snorkeling and diving also provide access to another landscape – underwater worlds.IMG_0384

2. Charming island character
If the jaw dropping views aren’t enough, the island’s charm will win you over. The lively, upbeat atmosphere is anything but the calm, beachside manner of many islands. With funky instrumental music and beautiful chanting, the island music will activate your senses and bring you into the world of Okinawan island life.

3. Endless attractions.

From a world famous aquarium (Churaumi) to a pineapple theme park (Nago Pineapple Park), there is a place of interest for every taste in Okinawa. Pottery making, shopping and sight-seeing are options for visitors seeking a calmer itinerary. For the adventurous, outdoor activities include whale watching, swimming, surfing, snorkeling, diving and kayaking, among others.

Still not convinced? Perhaps the photographs will speak for themselves. Luckily, Okinawa is a place which can be visited year-long. While swimming is limited to summer months, all other activities can be enjoyed throughout the year. Don’t miss out!
