KURA or sometimes called DOZO is a traditional Japanese store house
built from timber, stone or clay used to safely store valuable commodities.
It is protected by 3 tier of very thick doors looks like Bank’s Safe door.
There are two more sliding doors inside.
It is not only interesting to see very well maintained KURA,
but also great experience eating inside of KURA.
KURA Sushi-Ei is a popular lunch place for office workers who work at down town Matsumoto City,

Construction began in 1592 of the elegant black and white structure with its three turrets.
because of the elegant black walls, Matsumoto Castle is sometimes called ‘Crow Castle’.
